Boruch Dayan Emes: Rabbi Jacob Rubenstien

I was horrified to read the tragic story involving the passing of Rabbi Jacob Rubenstein and his wife Deborah. Rabbi Rubenstein, 58 was the Rabbi of the Young Israel of Scarsdale and he and has wife had been sleeping when a fire spread quickly throughout the house leaving no survivors.The cause of this blaze is still under investigation but it is believed that a lightning strike may have been the cause. Rabbi Rubenstein had served as president of the Rabbinical Council of America from 1997 to 1999 and was also serving as Honorary President. This story should also remind us to practice fire drills and safety with our family members.The Levaya is scheduled for Today: Sunday afternoon at 1:30PM in the Young Israel Of Scarsdale - 1313 Weaver Street, Scarsdale NY 10583.

Weschester: NO MORE LIGHT BULBS!

Another Bright idea by Democrats to fight Global Warming. County Legislator Martin Rogowsky (D, IN, WF – Harrison) wants to eliminate all incandescent bulbs for all Westchester County-owned facilities after December 31, 2007. He would also try to ban the sale of incandescent light bulbs in the county after December 31, 2009.Well it's the first day of spring today and it was a freezing 25 degrees this morning, so much for global warming. The problem is the Liberals are looking to fight this front to get attention for bigger government over your life. For people who are not well off those energy efficient light bulbs are pretty costly. Maybe what we are really experiencing is Global Cooling that sounds more credible to me, at least this morning anyway. Now that Oscar winning, Presidential losing, Al Gore (he created the global warming) is talking to Congress about why he's important..umm no wait it was why global warming is important and it will be a great way to promote his film called...well I'm not going to promote it here....
