Now I gotta buy a car..........

Well it seems one of my cars is on the fritz. It has a steering pump leak and also has a fuel pump problem. It has 133k miles and I have already sunk enough money into it I believe it's time to move on. The problem becomes what car to buy and how much to spend. Also what kind of venue do I want to use? Do I buy from a dealer? Do I go to an auction? If an auction: government auction, dealers auction? Private buyer?As you can imagine my head is spinning with all these different options. The question becomes what the best way to buy a car? Well my first idea is to look and find one of the more reliable cars. Find one with relatively low milage ( I can't afford a brand new one) that does not retain it's value. Get an extended warranty for it and I'm all set. Not sure about the other issues just yet.
