Liquor can drive your car!

Popular Science has an article on how an engine powered by Ethanol is more powerful than the gasoline alternative. Ethanol is a fuel derived from grain alcohol that can be produced from corn. They mix it with some gas an you have a very powerful liquid for driving. Sweden uses this mixture on a large scale (called E 85) a 85/15 mixture of Ethanol and gasoline. Although the Ethanol has 20% less fuel economy than gasoline, if we can produce it cheaply who really cares? It also burns a lot cleaner!
