Someone's trash is another person's treasure...

In my neighborhood we are blessed with sanitation pick up 4 times a week. I know you are probably wondering "who needs that amount of pickup?" The truth is we have 3 regular pickup days and one day for special pickup e.g. Fridge, heavy items etc.. A person across the street had thrown out something that very closely resembles this.I took it home and tried plugging it in. It seems in excellent condition and the filter was clean as a whistle. It seems to work fine and I'm really not sure why he threw it out. I'm thinking there are probably people who go around the neighborhood before the pickup looking for items that could be fixed or are not even broken and sell them (eBay?). I think I'm onto a new source of income.
