The Shul concert saga..

As I mentioned previously, I was asked to join my Shul's concert committee. Being that they decided the concert would be focusing on the teenagers of the community they decided it would be best to hire a band of some sort. One of the members contacted Matisyahu who was unavailable for the date but wanted to know what he would charge if and when he was available. I have no doubt they could not afford him at this point. It seems they are deciding between this new band "Beyond Eden" or Blue Fringe. I mentioned that although Beyond Eden would be releasing their second CD not long before this concert that there was an issue to be taken seriously. If they didn't make much of a splash after the first release(which Blue Fringe did) aren't you taking a risk? If it's only going to cost a little more money you should go with a sure sell out (Blue Fringe)...this was my take on it. We'll see what the end result is soon.... stay tuned.
