As per Blog in DM post, Yehuda has ripped off a peice of music from Chris De Burge (famous for his hit "Lady in Red") entitled "Snows in NY". The son in question seems to be Umacha which I'm not familiar with since the only songs I ever listen to are the ones I perform at weddings. Fortunately for me no one requests his songs anymore for the most part. If you are curious as to how closely these notes are similar to the original Yehuda has no problem showing them to you here. This is nothing new as there is almost no artist in Jewish Music who has not ripped off something. MBD has done a couple including Jospeh and the Technicolor Dream Coat, Dedi with ABBA etc. There is also plenty of stuff you will never find out about. Some of them may copy music you may never hear like spanish or Japanese perhaps (I kid you not some Japanese music sounds very JM like). Perhaps Yehuda was hoping the controversy might increase his sales since they must be lagging. He hasn't had a major hit since Dovid Melech. To look for inspiration from another artist is fine in my book. I can't say I'm extremely fond of copying note for note though. That's kind of cheesy and pathetic.
