RED SOX WIN: Yankee Fans Upset About More

Boston fans have got to be smiling wide today! Not only have they won a world series twice in 4 years but their arch rivals have had a major loss. A-Rod dropped a different kind of explosion the other day, he has opted out of his final 3 yrs left on his contract to become a free agent. With Joe Girardi becoming the Yanks new manager, Yankee fans certainly have lots to talk about.

Rudy Giuliani and the Red Sox

Many New Yorkers may think Rudy can't be trusted anymore. Not after his recent comments on backing the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series. Rudy Guliani was talking at a news conference in Boston the other day when he made those remarks. In efforts perhaps to explain his apparent betrayal of his life long allegiance to the Yankees, Rudy stated "I'm an American League fan, and I go with the American League team, maybe with the exception of the Mets," he said. "Maybe that would be the one time I wouldn't because I'm loyal to New York." Well there are certainly Yankee fans in NY who think he's sold out. Many non-sports fans would say that since the Yankees aren't in the world series it's no big deal, so why the fuss? The truth is it's very unlikely that Massachusetts would vote for Rudy so I guess you can't say he's really pandering...
