BeechNut Baby Food Alert: Going Non Kosher

I recently received and email that raised my eyebrow as a parent of an infant and toddler. It seems that Beechnut, one of the largest supplier of kosher baby food, has been slowly pulling off their kosher supervision. Many products already do not bear the OU symbol such as:Stage 1 Peaches, Stage 1 Beans, Stage 2 Apple Cherry,State 2 Apple ango Kiwi, Stage 2 Mixed Cereal with Apple, Stage 2 Peach Oat Banana, Stage 2 Pear Raspberry,Stage 2 Rice Cereal with Apples Stage 2 Banana Strawberry and Stage 2 Apple Banana just to name a few (there are even more). There is reason to believe that eventually most or none of their products will have kosher supervision. As we know with Stella Dora these companies listen to the kosher consumer. My suggestion is to email the company (choose "Send Feedback to Beech Nut" option) and express your concern as a kosher consumer and parent. Please pass this post to anyone you know.

Best In Baby Product Series: Car Mobile

Continuing the "Best in Baby Products" series, I would like to introduce yet another fantastic invention. Your baby will absolutely love the Clip & Go Musical Mobile by Tiny Love. This mobile is battery powered so it offers a lot more stimulation than the conventional car seat mobiles. Not only does it move but it also has music with which to sooth you child and a mute setting for a place you would not like the music heard but still want fun for your little one. Tiny Love went the extra mile by offering a mobile that changes with your baby. The mobile has two sides for every spot on this toy. One side features black and white pictures (since contrast is what appeals most babies 0-3 months) and if you flip the toy over your baby can play with the dangling colorful toys. I personally own this product and my wife is surprised someone didn't think of it sooner. It can be used with a car seat or a stroller.

New Series: Best in Baby Products...

As some of you know I started a "best of kosher food" series and I think you all enjoyed it. I have decided on a new series that many of you would benefit from, namely "baby products".
