Kosher Tartans, Kosher Kilts?

Dr Clive Schmulian, a Glaswegian dentist came up with the idea of developing a Kosher tartan. If you are like me the next question is :what is a tartan? Tartans are a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. Tartans originated in woven cloth, but are now used in many other materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland. Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns. The problem is tartans are usually created with linen and wool fibers causing them to be shatnez. The new Kosher version would be made exclusively of wool effectively creating the first Kosher Kilt. Don't worry, with a kilt there is no prohibition of beged isha.
