A Segway into the topic of Recalls...

Many news reports are out over a huge recall of 23,500 Segways. What is a Segway you ask? Segway is a is a two-wheeled, self-balancing transportation device invented by Dean Kamen and unveiled in December 2001.The reason for the recall? The scooters have a computer glich that at maximum speed (which is about 12.5 miles per hour) instead of slowing down could throw them off suddenly by reversing direction. Don't panic however, chances are your young one is not the proud owner of one of these scooters seeing as how they are priced between 4-5k. If you do own one, it will just need a software upgrade that should take about 15 min.. Interestingly enough the article does not mention that this is the second time Segway has had a recall although not as large.
