Daily News reports that although Queens residents have finally gotten out of the dark, Con Edison can't rule out more blackouts. Bloomberg has been getting lobbed a lot of verbal tomatoes by politicians who disagree with his assesment of Con Edison and it's CEO. Although the mayor has been pushing for reimbursement for the suffering borough it's obviously not enough. The government is offering low interest loans to affected areas with attractive terms. To many however who have suffered tremendous financial loss they view it as a slap in the face. As one Fish store owner says " we don't need loans, we need grants!"

Tne Mayor on the radio this morning explained why he has said what he said. After hearing his explanation on things that went on with Con Ed I don't think he is far off. I do believe that Con Ed needs to build bigger electric circuits to deal with the increase in electrical power.
