The President and Immigration

As some of you know last night the President presented the American people with his ideas on immigration reform. He talked about bringig in te national gurad to patrol the border and a temporary worker program. The President certainly had a tough job and it seemed he was trying to please as many people as possible. He insisted that the temp workers program was not amnesty and that a middle ground must be reached. It all sounded good but I think there a lot of holes in his theories: Short of building a wall these troops will not accomplish a whole lot. I'm sure they'll catch people but plenty more will get over. If we want to get serious about immigration reform we have to do more than this but it may a good start.
