Joshua Nelson is making an attempt to create what he calls "Kosher Gospel music".
“Kosher gospel is almost a synonym for soul. I’m actually just putting soul into Jewish music,” said Nelson.
Using church music and combining it with "Jewish" lyrics sounds a bit un-Jewish to me.
