Meet Rabbi Solomon Isaacson of Philidelphia. He is a 63-year-old rabbi who based on this article has substantial political influence. His latest project:
A large swath of land in Northeast Philadelphia for new townhouses and single-family homes so that hundreds of Hasidic Jewish families can relocate here from the saturated streets of Brooklyn.
Sounds like a truly noble cause and although he has not had much success yet there is a reason politicians don't mess with him:
He has the proven ability to deliver votes from the immigrant community of Russian Jews that he has nurtured for 25 years, he is able to get government doors to open to him.
