She's Japanese, She's Jewish= a one woman show..

The Jewish Times introduces you to Rachel Factor. She was born in Hawaii, a fourth-generation Japanese-American, and went to a Christian missionary school and became a dancer/ singer, and married a Jewish man, and converted to Conservative Judaism, and then later to Orthodox Judaism. That is a bit unusual I must say. The closest thing I ever heard that was remotely as strange is this: I knew a hasidic kid who was an incredible drummer at a very young age of 16-17 who was more talented than most professionals I had seen. His father had been a professional bass player (now in advertising) and his mom a dancer. They met, got married and both became religious- Breslov I believe. They also made aliyah a few years back. But I digress, Rachel Factor has a a one-woman show entitled "JAP". She is requested to do her show constantly and flies all over US because of her unusual experiences and her attachment to Judaism.

She does sound unique.

My wife has seen it - loved it. A few others (friends, mother-in-law) have seen it, and all agreed.

I don't think they're Breslov, though.
