Shot on Shabbos in front of his son!

New York Times reports that Eliyahu Frishman a resident of far Rockaway was shot in the chest this past shabbos. The shooter is described as black, in his 20's, 6 foot 2 inches tall and wearing a red cap, a blue shirt and pants, and a dark bandanna covering part of his face. The robber had asked him for money but since he didn't have any, he shot him. Eliyahu is in stable condition and the robber is still at large. This story is particularly disturbing to me since it is not far from my relatives who I often visit.
The cops are often parked there to catch people from running a red stop sign ( yes they caught me once)of course there were no cops to be seen at this particular juncture (well it is shabbos so very few cars if any would be able to run a stop sign).

He is the cousin of one of our neighbors here in Efrat (Barbara Lang). I just heard he was taken off the ventilator (B"H).
