AP reports that Roger Schutz or brother Roger as he was known, the 90-year-old founder of an ecumenical Christian community has been killed. He was slain by a woman who had slipped into the monks choir performance and then slit his throat. Brother Roger harbored Jewish refugees during the Nazi occupation of France during World War II, then built the ecumenical Taize Community with a mission to reconcile all denominations of Christians and promote dialogue and peace. What an act of great kindness that certainly deserve to be mentioned. A ger toshov perhaps. I'm truly saddened that such a kind man was killed in such a brutal manner.
