Organ donation... May I?

North Jersey.com discusses the difficulty associated with getting organs donated. Currently there is quite a shortage of available organs for patients in need. There seems to be a misconception about religious restrictions on organ donation and this article goes through a variety of those. Judaism is listed as:

Judaism: All four branches of Judaism (Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist) support and encourage donation. Orthodox Rabbi Moshe Tendler, of Yeshiva University in New York City and the Rabbinical Council of America, cities the imperative from Deuteronomy 30:19: "You shall choose life."

There are no 4 branvhes of Judaism.Either your observant or not.Judaism strongly forbids removing parts from a Jewish dead body.

i'm just telling you what the article says not that I agree. Donation doesn't mean strictly dead donors. You can donate a kidney for example from a live donor.
