Reuters reports that a Jewish extremist ( that's what I'll call him) was given the chance to escape from a 38 day jail sentence. He was told they would let him off the hook if he went back to the US till September 20th. The Jew in question and 2 others were detained based on intelligence information they were involved in "violent ideological activities against Arabs," a ministry spokeswoman said.
It seems this 38- day sentence was generally used for those plotting to attack Palestinians and is now being used for those looking to disrupt the Gaza pull out.
Talk about getting off lightly.
