TheForward reviews some Jewish Orthodox blogs such as Nice Jewish Girl and Dina Does Brooklyn. The article explains how Orthodox are using blogs as a means of expression they otherwise could not. I must say there is a tremendous paradox in Debbie does Brooklyn. The article stated that she claims it has no connection with the skin flick from 1978 and that she dispenses words of Torah every Friday. Why would someone who calls their blog a "window into the holy shechunah [neighborhood] of the Lubavitcher Rebbe" even consider calling their blog by such a name is beyond my comprehension. The article also mentions that not many fervently Orthodox Jews blog.
Hey no kidding! Maybe that's because if you are blogging, it might be considered "hefkairous" and you should be spending that time immersing yourself in Torah study.
