Here is a very interesting piece of information. You can no longer lease a used car (at least it's almost impossible) in the Tri-State area. The main reason: Bank of America who was trying it's hand at this, closed down all funding for this type of venture. Why you ask? Many car dealerships were selling these cars to the bank and giving false information as to the type of model it was. They would say a Camry LE was a XLE model ( more expensive model). I'm not that familiar with the whole issue but it does tie in with depreciation values of the cars that were being leased. Not to mention that some of these cars were actually very unsafe to drive. Evidently many Jewish car dealerships ( some of whom are located in the Brooklyn Boro) were very guilty of these practices. BOA had no choice but to pull out and stop funding it on the East coast. How shameful!
