Who knows about Jewish outreach?

Reading a response byLIFE-of-RUBIN: in his response to a post by Jewlicious. It reminded me of a great point made by a sephardic Rabbi (I can't recall his name) on the Parhsha of Lech Lecha. He spoke about how Abraham (The first patriarch) left the land of Canaan after the famine had broken out and went to Egypt .One of the many questions that are asked is why did he leave without G-d's telling him to go? Furthermore where was all the money that he had? The Rabbi said that he had used up his money supporting the yeshiva that taught everyone about monotheism etc. He had decided to go to Egypt since he could not develop followers under those harsh conditions. If he were to approach people and explain to them about G-d, they would just say "well if he really exists where is he now"? There is a famine etc.. He therefore decided to go to Egypt and continue spreading the word on how G-d was the master of the universe. Take it from the first person who ever did outreach, namely our forefather Abraham, there is a time for outreach but it needs some tact also.
