Blessings in disguise

Jewish Blogmiester reporting:
I have this old Japanese car that I bought and has recently been giving me plenty of trouble. I had an exhaust and air conditioning (compressor)job. The tires are on the way out and as it turns out I have two broken engine mounts and one that's very iffy. The motor mounts themselves would run about $350 without labor. As you can imagine I'm very interested in getting a new car. I was considering scrapping it for parts as I don't need the hassle of selling it. Well my wife had called me an hour or so after the mechanic had told me I had $850 in repairs. She was very upset and explained the mechanic had parked the car and someone had hit the car while attempting a parallel park. I didn't want to make a big deal and spoke to the guy on the phone. The estimate was under $1000 to fix the door that was banged up a bit but really nothing does not work, it was purely cosmetic. I got $800 cash and called it even. Not a bad deal I think. G-d does work in mysterious ways.
