A new addition soon to join the family!

Well over this past Shavuot we got some great news. My sister-in-law is expecting her first! This is especially great news, since she was having trouble conceiving due to some troubles with her cycle. She could not change it because a certain medical condition would not have allowed her to take the pill in order to move it over. The real interesting twist is this: Being orthodox I don't believe in coincidences and that everything that happens is only with G-d's help. It was not surprising therefore, when I found out that she became pregnant not much after being the K'vater for her first cousins bris. What is a K'vater you ask?

"Kvatter" -- usually a married couple. Preferably, this couple has not yet had children of their own, as the honor is considered a good omen to have children. The baby's mother hands the child over to the female kvatter, who passes the baby to her husband. He then brings the baby into the room where the Bris is to take place.

Well it certainly had the right affect on them and we are very excited about this new addition to our family.
