Minor details in Jewish Music

I'm not sure why this happened. I was listening to latest schweky
CD and I'm still suprised that almost all of shiney shoe music is still written in minor scale. Sure there are songs in major
but the vast majority is in Minor as if there is a law it must be written that way or else! Granted there has been some improvement in this area but there is a long way to go in my opinion.
