Best of kosher Food Series: Lunch/Dinner: Ground Beef Pareve

I hope you are enjoying this series on the "Best of Kosher Food" series. If you should be searching for a kosher alternative for a recipe that calls for cheese and ground beef i.e. lasagna , then look no further then our friend on the left here. Although Morningstar makes thier own version of ground beef, this one is superior both in texture and taste and it's pareve (where as all morningstar products are dairy). It's also excellent in tacos (they even have a taco flavored one). Another great use for this product is just to pour it into your favorite pasta sauce, pop it into the microwave and you have created instant meat sauce!

Lightlife also makes stuff called "Gimme Lean" that actually tastes sort of like sausage. It's fun to use in stuff like lentil soup, pasta sauce and cholent. You have to slice or crumble it up and saute it, so it requires a little more prep effort. But it's yummy.
