I know someone who dressed up as Santa Claus for Purim. Hey, who said these people don't have a sense of humor? Besides, it's making fun of Avodah Zara. The best Jewish humor!
Actually my friends uncle who is a Rabbi and used to be a principal of a well known yeshiva in the 5 towns dressed up as santa. It was the first time I ever saw someone try to pull it off.

this purim i spent in pretty small town hulon looking at its adlayada and i was really amazed by true sameach of people there...it was pretty impressive, israeli people are so optimistic even though the situation around is pretty taught
