The NY POST has an article about a new upscale supermarket making it's debut in Brooklyn named "Pomegranate". The owner Abraham Banda, truly believes Orthodox community is ready for high-end food supermarket. Although one may question his timing. When the economy is not in the best of shape, is it really a great idea to open a kosher supermarket with beef-rib steaks at 23.99 a pound and gourmet cheese for $14.99 a pound?Pomegranate occupies an entire block on Coney Island Avenue at Avenue L and has been under construction, along with a 50-car parking lot, for the past two years.
