Kosher for Passover Brownies: Recipe

An easy Kosher for Passover brownie recipe from the JP:

Ingredients:

8 ½ oz. margarine

9 ¾ to 10 oz. chocolate

10 oz. sugar

6 eggs

3 ½ oz. walnuts

2 ½ oz. potato starch

3 oz. almond powder

1 tsp. baking powder
Preparations:

Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Melt the margarine and the chocolate over a “Bain Marie” (a small pot into a bigger one with boiling water ).

Place the eggs and sugar in a mixer bowl and whisk for 3 minutes.

Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Add the melted margarine and chocolate with the eggs, then add all the rest and mix for 2 minutes.

Bake in a baking pan with parchment paper for 15 minutes at 350° F.

You can add a vanilla ice cream scoop on the side while eating the brownie.

Bon appetit!

Please Note: To make this dessert more guilt free, you might want to substitute half of the eggs with just egg whites as described previously. You can also use applesauce or apple butter for 3/4 of the margarine or use shortening instead. Remember most margarine has trans fat and it's best to keep away if possible.
