Explosion in Time Square: Not Terrorism...

The latest update on the explosion in Times square is that at this time it doesn't appear to be terrorism-related according to White House spokeswoman Dana Perino. The FBI is investigating the matter. Reports state that a man on a bicycle might be the culprit as he was seen by a witness with a backpack acting suspiciously before the incident occurred.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, at the same briefing, said the explosive was ``not a particularly sophisticated device'' and was placed in a small ammunition box like ones ``readily available in Army-Navy stores.''

``But this type of explosive can certainly cause injury or death,'' Kelly said.

One witness reported seeing a hooded person riding a bicycle ``in a suspicious manner'' and carrying a backpack shortly before the blast. No one saw the device planted, Bloomberg said.

``Whoever the coward was that committed this disgraceful act on our city will be found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law,'' Bloomberg said.

if it is terrorism then what does she want to call it? antagonism? lunacy? the politico reports that several congress people received pictures of the recruiting station and letters. it might not have terrorists like the nineleven people but any act intended on terrorizing people is terrorism.
