New Ban on Yiddish Rap in Israel

Well as if the latest controversy of the recent concert ban in Israel wasn't enough we have yet another music ban. This time it's of a different nature: Two haredi musicians from Bnei Brak have released a cover album entitled "Rap in Yiddish". The album features tunes of vocalists such as Madonna and 50 cent but the words are yiddish and are of a religious nature. As you can imagine many Rabbis are outraged by this album and Hamodia covered the story where Rabbis are putting out the word not to purchase this album or distribute it. The album has already reached the coveted 10,000 order mark.

how much does it cost to get a rabbinical ban or a book or a album? Seems to be a great way to generate publicity and drive sales.
