Believe it or not, there is a Jewish rep of the Iranian parliament that would like the country to have nukes. His name is Maurice Motamed and he recently took a trip down to Los Angeles and held meetings with the local Iranian community. As you can imagine this made many Iranian's upset and the debate started as to how one could meet with someone whose country flatly denied the holocaust. The members of the Iranian-American Jewish Federation chose to host Motamed at their synagogue. Thankfully however, another Iranian-Jewish organization (the Council of Iranian Jews) opposed the meetings with him, and said that it is inconceivable that Jews will sit with a man who represents a regime which calls for the destruction of Israel.
