Modesty Police out in full force in Israel!

This past Monday a "white list" of 30 Kosher clothing stores has populated the B'nei Brak area. As we had previously discussed there was a meeting of great controversy regarding women's clothing in Israel. The latest article states that red clothing is to be avoided at all costs and no tight-fitting clothes may be sold ( or worn).

In Jerusalem we've had probs. with independent mishmereth tzni'uth, even at a frum Internet Cafe adn Restaurants in Ge'ulah. My sources say that these self appointed mishmeroth are just looking for action. However, that doesn't excuse the apauling way many of the "religious" women dress where Batya and I live. Bright red dresses, pants, very low neck lines, tight clothes, and pretending to cover their hair are inexcusable. It's an example of "rabbis," parents, and [much of] the so-called religious Zionist educational system not wanting to deal with this. For the record I'm talking about women who cry out that they're religious, not secular women, and not women who are gradually taking on misswah observance. I believe these latter women should be supported with patience, kindness, and information.
