Things are not looking good for NY Comptroller

NY Comptroller, Alan Hevesi is in a lot of hot water and will most likely have to resign his post or face impeachment. His latest political fallout is Eliot Spitzer, who smartly pulled his endorsement of Hevesi. The ethics committee has found that Mr. Hevesi illegally used state funds to pay for a car and using a state employee to chauffeur his wife around. He may have used over $83,000 of the state's money to do this. He falsely claimed he had permission since his wife needed the security etc. The governor is expected to discuss whether he will request Hevesi's removal today. The last time an impeachment took place in NY was 1913 and took just 3 days.
