Eat any spinach lately?

If you did hopefully it wasn't fresh bagged spinach. Spinach is currently the subject of a major FDA investigation. As restaurants and supermarkets scramble to take it off their isles and menues people are running scared from this green leafed vegatable. What is a spinach lover to do? Looking for a substitute is always a good idea.

This ecoli / Spinach contamination is very serious. The are reports that it may have been used in the production of foodsuffs.
From what I've read it is not safe to use Fresh Spinach even if its washed. The bacteria isn't destroyed even in the cooking process there seems to be a lot of doubt.

I defintitely dont recommend a chicken and spinach pie at the moment!
