Jewish Music A Capella advertising techniques...

I must say I'm a bit suprised at some of the techniques Jewish Music is taking to promote albums and get the word out. This new idea is just really annoying. Someone recently put up a comment with a link to a you tube movie that was promoting some Jewish Album. I deleted it since you should ask permission before trying to just slap your ad on my blog. I then receieved another email to the same link asking me to put it on and that it was oh so funny. I actually checked it out and it was a promotion for the AKAPella album Premium Blend. The movie clip was supposed to be a play on words entitled "that special single". It starts out with a guy going on several dates that don't pan out and then he finds his "single" in the mail and he's so happy. Pretty cheesy but some creativity can't be overlooked.

This topic was discussed during the sefirah period on many of the JBlogs so you are a little late. There is more controversy than just the video promoting it. Do a blog search for AKA Pella and you should find all of the discussions.

The comment above is what I was referring to. I think you are referring to a different movie sorry.

The song sounded pretty good at the end of the video. Do you think that guys teeth are really like that? How come they didn't show any of the ugly girls?
