One of my co-workers just related a story to me. She went to deposit cash into a checking account at a drive-through teller. The teller handed her not only a deposit slip with the new balance but the cash as well! She doesn't plan on giving it back and you can bet that teller is going to be chewed out for being so reckless. Fortunately it was only$650 or so. never. had a banking error against me once. I deposited a check in my account and at the same time cashed a check for a friend. They took the cash out of my account for my friend. We only realized later that we were missing the money. The bank took their pleasant time reimbursing the money while they "investigated". We had to go in there a bunch of times and then go in screaming finally about it. The manager told the clerk - they are right. give them their money.
