A friend of mine releated this true story:
His Rabbi was late to a bar-mitzvah and was moving along the freeway. The Freeway takes a dip at some point and the Rabbi found himself going quite fast down this strectch of downhill road. Sure enough a cop (waiting at that strategic loctaion) pulls him over ( he was going about 90 at that point). Cop to the Rabbi: "I've been waiting for you all day". Rabbi replies " I got here as fast as I could!" No ticket was exchanged.
