More coverage on the Lulav (Palm frond?) issue....

It seems even Congress is getting involved with the lulav quandary. The problem as I mentioned previously, stems from ( no pun... Ok it was intended) Eygpt's agriculture dept. which claims it must cut down on the amount of lulavim lest there not be enough date (yes the fruit) production: an economically important crop in Egypt. Congress has jumped into the fray with Rep. Gary L. Ackerman (D-N.Y.) saying "Let my palm fronds go". I hope you all were able to get your hands on some palm.

Ackerman has been involved since the beginning, that is how the first mention of a story broke in the media - it was about COngressional efforts to solve the Egyptian lulav dillema.
