ABC News reports that Harriet Miers has (smartly) withdrawn her name as supreme court nominee. Bush of course blames the Senate and the bipartisan effort in Congress to gain access to internal documents related to her role as counsel to the president.
It's hard to nominate someone when your own party doesn't care for them.
