They should have gotten married in Israel....

MSNBC.com reports and Israeli couple was fined 1,000 rupees ($23..big deal I guess) for kissing during the their marriage ceremony in a Hindu pilgrim town. Evidently in Hinduism it's considered obscene to kiss during the marriage ceremony.

It's possible that they were not allowed to get married in Israel, such as if one is a Jew and the other is not, or if the man is a cohen and the woman is divorced. It's extremely common for Israelis to get married abroad for exactly those reasons.

Interesting but it seems they got married there becasue they wanted this kind of ritual ceremony.
